Who says concrete is limited to shades of grey? At Slabs By Design, we have reimagined concrete as a versatile canvas for architectural expression. Our curated colour library has evolved from a foundational set of 22 tones to a spectrum of over 60 signature colours, designed to harmonise with any design vision.
Bespoke Colour Calibration
We understand that luxury lies in the details. Every colour tone in our range can be adjusted to be lighter or darker to suit your specific environment. For projects requiring absolute cohesion, we offer Custom Colour Commissions—simply provide a physical sample, and our artisans will develop a unique pigment match for your project.Â
Tactile Samples & Tonal Integrity
Concrete is a natural, mineral-based material. It’s beauty lies in it’s subtle variations. To assist in your selection, we offer Physical Colour Discs that serve as a reflection of our palette. They provide a guide to the colours, however due to the natural nature of the oxides and environment when pouring, as well as the differing techniques of our artisans and the finishes required, the colours may vary slightly from the sample. ECC mix will generally be a little lighter than the colour discs provided.Â
Standard Samples
Our round color discs best represent the smooth, architectural finish of our GFRC Off-theForm mix. Should your project require our ECC Hand Troweled mix, we can prepare a sample in your chosen colour for final approval prior to fabrication of your order.
Designer Terrazzo Samples
If you are considering a benchtop or furniture piece in a Designer Terrazzo finish, use the tool in the Designer Terrazzo Custom Sample link below to overlay our Aggregates onto our concrete colours. Once you have selected your concrete colour and aggregate we can create a sample for your final approval prior to fabricating your order. This allows you to experience the distinct variations of the Aggregates before finalising your commission. Speak to us about incorporating multiple aggregates in your selection.
A Note on Natural Variation: Because we use natural oxides and artisanal casting methods, slight tonal shifts may occur between batches. These are not imperfections, but rather the unique "fingerprint" of a hand-cast architectural element
